This is a list of countries whose income levels are monitored by the World Bank.
Countries with Programmes are marked in bold.
Dependent territories are marked in italics.
There are also notes on population size - we flag any country with population larger than 100 million as Megacountry or Gigacountry, and any country with population less than 300,000 as microcountry or nanocountry. (See All countries by population for lists and definitions.)
Countries not marked with population notes thus have populations in the range 300,000 to 100 million, which covers the full range of current or immediately prospective EU member states.
