The Open University of Sudan (Jameat El Sudan El Maftuha, OUS) was founded in 2002 by the Sudanese Council of Ministers in order to:
- ...extend the range of the Higher Education Revolution, and to complement the capacity of its institutions to adapt to the social, economic and educational conditions of higher education seekers, and in pursuit of the desire to liberate higher education from the limitations of time and place,
It is based in Khartoum, Sudan.
