The Tianjin Radio and TV University (TJRTVU) is based in Tianjin Province, China. It was founded in 1958 as 'Tianjin Radio and Correspondence University (TRCU)' -- the first distance learning institution in China to use radio and correspondence media in education.

TJRTVU consists of one open college, two schools, 22 local branches and 18 study centers (across 18 districts in Tianjin). The university uses radio, TV, satellite, internet and video conferencing as learning tools.
