NOU - OEC

The National Open University (NOU),established in 1986, is the first university in Taiwan to use a variety of media for its main reaching and learning activities. The University provides opportunities for adult continuing education and lifelong learning through multiple media channels including internet, TV, radio. CD and VCD.The university also provides face-to-face instruction at least four times within a semester. Learners can access the NOU's e-Learning course content by "video/audio on demand" and "e-learning platform" from the NOU's website. It is one of the university's missions to promote e-Learning to serve learners from remote areas and disadvantaged groups, the other important mission is to provide educational resources to wider publics in Taiwan and internationally.
