Lakshadweep

Lakshadweep is a group of islands and a union territory off the south-western coast of India. It consists of twelve atolls, three reefs and five submerged banks, with a total of about thirty-nine islands and islets. Ten of the islands are inhabited.

The 2011 census records a literacy rate of 92.28%, making it second in India to the state of Kerala.
