Gordon Suddaby is Director of Academic Development and eLearning at Massey University. He has been head of the Centre for Academic Development and eLearning since 2000. Prior to that I held the role of Training Consultant (Teaching and Learning) in the unit, and before that he was Senior Lecturer at Dunedin College of Education, responsible for the Secondary Teacher Training programme at the Southland Campus.

He represents the University on the Australasian Council on Open, Distance and E-Learning (ACODE) and is currently the first New Zealand President of ACODE (see http://www.acode.edu.au/activities.php).

His expertise lies in Teaching and Learning, Curriculum Development, Assessment, Institutional Training and Development, E-Learning with consultancy experience in Assessment, Institutional Development Programmes, Curriculum Review, and E-Learning.

He has a particular interest in the implementation of institutional staff development policies and programmes and the development of a "professional development culture" within an institution.

He also has a strong interest in the development and implementation of E-Learning and currently chair the University's "Online Learning and Monitoring Group".

He has a MEd (Hons) from Massey University as well as a BSc and a Postgraduate Diploma in Science from Otago University.
