The European Virtual School (EVS) is the regional branch of the Virtual School (WVS) - a U.S. based, non-profit body with over 500,000 students worldwide.
The European Virtual School’s most recent enrolment figures suggest that there are some 56,000 students across Europe and a further 58,000 in Turkey.

EVS is the only visible, significant virtual school presence yet identified in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union with over 8,000 students in Russia alone.
