New York State
New York is a state in the north-east of the United States. It borders the Canadian provinces of Ontario to the north and west and Quebec to the north, by Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and Rhode Island to the east, and New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south.
The population of New York state is 19.3 million as of 2010. The state capital is Albany and its largest city is New York City. New York is known as the Empire State.
