New Jersey is a state in the Northeastern and Middle Atlantic regions of the United States. It borders New York to the north and east, the Atlantic Ocean to the southeast and south, Pennsylvania to the west and Delaware to the southwest.
New Jersey has a population of 8.7 million as of 2010. The state capital is Trenton and its largest city is Newark. New Jersey is known as the Garden State.
