Earlier content on one wiki merged into this wiki (the Re.ViCa/VISCED wiki) was published under a Creative Commons License (Attribution-Noncommercial- Share Alike 3.0 Unported License). The full licence can be consulted on http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/
This early version of the license was used because the wiki goes back to early EU approaches to copyright. The early license never really worked since several key contractors to these projects were private companies who under a strict interpretation could not use the material they created.
Thus a derogation was negotiated so that any use for state funded projects was valid.
For this reason when the POERUP wiki started in 2011 it used Creative Commons CC BY 4.0.
Any page created or modified after 2022 is now deemed to be under Creative Commons BY 4.0.
Requirements for contributors
Each contributor to this wiki has to agree that the material they supply is written by themselves, or copied from a public domain, Creative Commons or similarly licensed free resource.
Under the usual rules of copyright, quotations from other works can be made, provided that the quote is referenced.
It is also a matter of courtesy that when contributors copy material "en bloc" from Wikipedia or similar collections of public material in any language that they acknowledge the source of their information.
Contributors are requested to consider "putting something back" to the OER community, and in particular not getting upset when someone else uses their material to e.g. update or create a page on Wikipedia.
