Mizoram is a state in the north-eastern region of India. One of the Seven Sisters States, it borders Assam to the north, Manipur to the north-east, Myanmar to the east, south, Bangladesh to the south-west and Tripura to the west.
The 2011 census records a population of 1 million inhabitants in Mizoram. The state capital and largest city is Aizawl.
Education in Mizoram
The 2011 census records a literacy rate of 91.58% and is second only to Kerala. Mizoram university was established in 2001. It has 29 undergraduate colleges, including 2 professional institutions and 1 constituent college, the Pachhunga University College.
