The Dutch Antilles is the subregion of the Dutch LAC comprising those territories formerly part of the Netherlands Antilles. We use the phrase "Netherlands Antilles" to refer to the former country to which all of those (including Aruba) used to belong - which was finally dissolved in October 2010.
- Aruba - a country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, until 1986 in the Netherlands Antilles
- the constituent parts of the former Netherlands Antilles until October 2010:
- Curaçao and Sint Maarten - now countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
- Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba - now special municipalities of the Netherlands
These islands together with Suriname (a Dutch-speaking sovereign state on the north coast of South America) form the Dutch LAC.
