Wolne Lektury is a free online library open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It archives 2500 books, including set readings recommended by the Ministry of National Education. All the texts are edited - annotated with footnotes and motifs - and are available in several formats. The library also contains a few hundred audio books. They are also available in DAISY format suiting the needs of people with poor vision, etc. Users are allowed to browse, listen to, and download all the items in Wolne Lektury, as well as share and cite them, entirely free of charge. Wolne Lektury is a pro bono project developed by the Modern Poland Foundation in cooperation with Polish libraries - the National Library, the Library of Silesia and the Library of Elbl?g, under the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Association of Polish Writers auspices.
