Senior Consultant in Learning Technology at Sero Consulting Ltd with a particular interest in using technology to reach those who can’t or won’t engage with mainstream forms of learning.

Current projects include ‘Making IT Personal – Joining the DOTs’ (an EU-funded project to bridge the digital divide in South Yorkshire: http://www.makingitpersonal.org.uk/) and ‘VISCED’ (Virtual School and College Education for Teenagers and Young Adults: http://visced.referata.com/wiki/Main_Page) reviewing innovative ICT-enhanced initiatives for the 14-21 age group.

22 years’ experience of teaching and ten years of training teachers through BECTA, LSDA (as was) and JISC Techdis. Member of the Membership Services Committee of ALT, Inclusive Learning Special Interest Group and ALT-C 2011 Programme Committee; holder and Lead Assessor of CMALT, an award that recognises effective use of Learning Technology; Accredited trainer for JISC Techdis; Member of JISC's Learning and Teaching Practice Experts Group. I have written Literacy and Numeracy content aimed at adults for the BBC Skillswise website.

ex Content Development Team Manager for the South Yorkshire E-Learning Programme. I managed a team of 4 learning technologists, working with teachers to produce and use e-learning resources in all subjects through ‘e-sy.info’, a Virtual Learning Environment available to learners in the South Yorkshire aged between 10 and 63, including Primary schools and Secondary schools, Further Education colleges, Adult Education and small to medium-sized businesses.
