Mart Achten received her MA in Political Sciences (International Relations) at the K.U.Leuven (BE), in 2005. Thereafter she completed a MA in Political Economy in 2006. She previously worked as a project coordinator at ICWE in Berlin, where she was involved in the organisation of Online Educa Berlin and eLearning Africa. Currently she is working for EuroPACE ivzw, a European non-profit association of higher education institutions, and Media and Learning Unit - KU Leuven, an educational support unit on new educational technologies of the university, as a project manager and researcher. She has worked on different (EU) projects in the field of virtual and blended mobility, e-coaching methods, online language assessment and digital accessibility. Further her responsibilities include supporting teaching staff of the KU Leuven Association in the effective use of digital, interactive and audiovisual media in higher education.
