 Protection Field Associate, United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Ahwar Reception Center, Yemen, (Feb 2009 – Feb 2011): Under the supervision of the Associate Field Officer, my Job Duties are the following: • Monitor the situation in the area of competence, collect data, registration information and other information relevant to UNHCR work activities; • Monitor and supervise the implementation of UNHCR program including delivery of assistance items, monitoring of infrastructure and make necessary recommendations for its improvement; • Keep regular contacts with local authorities and implementing partners as requested by Field Officer; • Analyze problems faced by refugees in transit camps; • Act as interpreter when required; • Contribute to the preparation of status and progress reports by providing info, preparing tables, etc.; • Assist in administrative tasks as required such as preparation of reports and meeting authorized personnel and assisting them during their field missions; • Monitor refugee movements and other inter-camps transfers; • Inform and act on the reports received on refugees under supervision of Protection and Field Officers; • Perform other duties as required.


 SOCIO-ECONOMIC SUPERVISOR & CONTRACT CONTROLLER, ASH International JV, Yemen LNG Pipeline Project, (Nov 2007 – Jan 2009): As a Socio-Economic Supervisor I was responsible for supervising the implementation of ASH Socio-Economic Management System at site. • Supervising of the implementation and monitoring of Socio-Economic Management System. • Coordinating and supervising of actions and interventions of the Community Liaison Team activities on site. • Liaising with relevant departments for implementation of Socio-Economic Management System. • Primary contact with JV Personnel and Company Liaison Team on Site. • Liaising with company (client), government and regulatory authorities on Socio-Economic matters at Site. • Reporting of Socio-Economic activities to the Socio-Economic Manger and Site/ Construction Manager.


As Contract Controller, the following duties were performed: • Preparing contracts of rented vehicles, material supply, logistic support and services contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, services providers and community representatives. • Documentation of all contracts both electronically and in hard copies. • Updating the logs of rented vehicles and other contracts regularly and coordinating with the concerned departments regarding the recruitment and termination. • In collaboration with Socio-Economic Manager, Construction Manager and Site Administrative Manager, implement solutions for the issues related to contracts.


 SOCIO-ECONOMIC ADMINISTRATOR & REPORTER, ASH Int'l JV, Yemen LNG Pipeline Project, Yemen, (Sep 2006 – Oct 2007): Assisting Socio-Economic Manager in the implementation of Socio-Economic Management System and reporting all Yemen LNG Pipeline activities on site. Duties included, but were not limited to, the following: • Final and central coordination of Socio-Economic reporting activities with relevant Socio-Economic team members on site; • Review, preparation and submission to Socio-Economic Manager of all necessary reporting required under the socio-economic management system in daily, weekly and monthly reports ; • Maintenance of database and registers relevant to the project socio-economic activities and policies; • Control and distribution of all documents to DCC and/ or relevant department(s) of all submissions, correspondence, plans, procedures and other relevant information once approved by Socio-Economic Manager (as applicable); • Assisting Socio-Economic Manager in Liaising with authorities for Socio-Economic matters as required.


During the span of my work for the ASH Community Liaison department as Socio-Economic Administrator and Reporter I was also responsible for supervising, following up, training and evaluating the performance of SOCIO-ECONOMIC CLERKS in different camps located at different parts on the pipeline and in cooperation with the SOCIO-ECONOMIC team make the required recommendations to improve work mechanism and achieve a work of high quality with special concentration on the following activities: Translation: • Translation of all letters and reports received from Local Authorities and locals from Arabic into English & vice versa. • Translation of Locals' complaints and Contracts with locals and Local Authorities • Writing & Reporting: • Writing professionally daily and weekly reports of Socio-Economic Department • Writing & Reporting the Minutes of Meetings attended by AMECSPIEHAWK Staff with local Authorities, Representatives of Local Communities, and Meetings with Yemen LNG officials concerning society. Documentation: • Highly effective filing, numbering and registering all the widely various documents in files and computer. • Maintaining documentation up to date and in order. • Dealing with DCC Department (Documentation Computer Control) regarding all received and sent documents and minutes of meetings with authorities and local communities. Complaint Management: • Receiving, translating and registering all new Community complaints in an effective and timely manner. • Socio-Economic Management: • Participate in fulfilling the Project Socio-Economic Management Plan with the Community Relations Team including the rules of Community Liaison. ----------------------------------------------------------------  SITE SAFETY/FLEET OFFICER, AmecSpieHawk International JV, Yemen LNG Pipeline Project, Yemen, (March 2006 – August 2006): Job Duties • Ensure that all safety measures, procedures have been implemented. • Identify any new hazards associated with job and develop plans and procedures to minimize it. • Provide Safety Dept with Job Safety Analysis with affective recommendations for action and correction, (daily Safety Officer Repot.). • Check if work permit and Job Safety analysis have been implemented properly. • Ensure that safety roles have been strictly followed and make Safety Observation Report if any violations. • Make sure that proper personal protective safety equipment is worn according to requirement of job activities. • Inspect regularly of work site. • Perform daily Tool Box Talk meeting for all workforce. • Make sure that Emergency procedures have been implemented. • Site safety Training. • Ensure that all drivers have passed medical screening, safety training and safety driving assessment. • Control vehicle’s speed limits by means of GPS system and regular inspection missions to the work sites. • Control validity of driving licenses and category of vehicle they are authorized to drive. • Safety inspection of light and heavy vehicles.


 GM EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, AlSaeed Tourist Group (Mercure Hotel), Sana'a, Yemen (January 2005 – March 2006): Secretarial support: • Provide general secretarial support for GM which includes, but not limited to, preparing correspondence and reports form rough draft, dictation, or verbal direction. • Screen and prioritize the incoming correspondence for the GM and, when appropriate, refer it to other staff members for reply and then follow up on the response to assure a timely response ; arrange correspondence for the GM personal reply in order of priority, attaches back-up material from files and collect memos of previous actions and other materials needed for reply . • Provide assistance as requested such as compiling packets of information on transportation, subjects, obtaining reports and publications, and preparing summarizing information as needed. • Answer and screen incoming telephone calls to the GM identifying the nature of the call to determine if it should be refereed to other staff members; arranging and coordinating conference calls. • Make travel arrangements including accommodations and airlines reservations and prepare travel expense for the GM. • Maintain the Manager’s appointment calendar and arrange meetings and conferences; keep all materials and files for such meetings organized for the GM.
