The University of Southern Denmark (Syddansk Universitet, SDU) supports blended learning.

It is located in Denmark at 6 campus cities: Odense, Esbjerg, Kolding, Copenhagen, Slagelse, and Sønderborg.

The university has more than 17000 students and 2000 employees.

It references e-learning on its web page About SDU > E-learning it is stated that e-learning is included in all suitable university activities. There are workshops specifically focussed on e-learning, the E-learning support Center specifically for staff, and the SDU E-Learn platform (BlackBoard) as referenced in the SDU BlackBoard manual and Blackboard’s own web site mentioning: “Southern Denmark University Adopts the Blackboard Learning System and Blackboard Content System”.

SDU was formed in 1998 (but dates back to 1966) by the merger between Odense University (founded in 1966), Southern Denmark School of Business and Engineering and South Jutland University Centre.
