UniSA was founded on 1 January 1991 through the amalgamation of the South Australian Institute of Technology and the Magill, Salisbury and Underdale campuses of the South Australian College of Advanced Education. Since then, it has quickly earned a reputation as a national leader in collaborative research, has been recognised nationally for innovation in teaching and has South Australia's largest intake of international students.

UniSA is one of the largest, fastest growing and most innovative universities in Australia and continues a long tradition of providing students with a high quality education. UniSA was the first university in Australia to establish an Aboriginal and Islander studies faculty, and our education and information technology schools are the largest in the state.

All students at the University of South Australia are provided with round-the-clock use of a state-of-the-art online environment to assist with learning and communication either externally or from any of the 30 computer pools available. Comprehensive on-campus services ensure that you minimise time spent on administrative matters as well as providing professional advice on anything relating to your life at the University. With support from a range of sources, including our innovative Career Services, you'll be in the best possible position to gain professional employment when you graduate.

UniSAnet is the Web based learning and teaching platform developed by the University of South Australia. Teaching staff can build and administer their online learning and teaching websites using a range of UniSAnet tools including discussion groups, chat rooms, quizzes and a synchronous online classroom.

UniSA is a leader in creating and applying knowledge and an innovator in blending online and campus-based learning.
