University of Hradec Kralove
The University of Hradec Kralove (University of Hradec Králové) supports fully online courses, as well as traditional face-to-face study.
The University of Hradec Králové is in the Czech Republic. It was founded in 1959 as the "University College of Education" (Vysoká škola pedagogická) and renamed in 2000.
The university offered its first first pilot online course in 1998, under the TEMPUS project MUDILT; and ramped up its online offerings soon thereafter. In 2001 online courses were offered to university students. Before launching its online courses, the university organised a national competition of e-learning distance courses in cooperation with the country's National Centre of Distance Education and EUNIS CZ.
The university offers a total of 25 accredited study programmes across the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Informatics and Management and the Faculty of Arts; providing educational experiences to about 7,000 students.
