The University College University of Maine System supports learning on-site, online, via video conference and via video stream at learning centres throughout the state of Maine, US.

As noted on their web site:

The mission of University College is to serve as a gateway to the emerging economy for Maine people who are unable to attend a University of Maine System campus and for businesses, schools, government, and non-profit organizations statewide.
University College provides access to the resources of the University of Maine System in Maine communities and online and helps faculty design and use innovative teaching and delivery methods.

University College offers access to courses and programs from the seven public Maine universities at more than 40 locations and online. There are more than 3,000 students enrolled, all working towards degrees through University College Outreach Centres.

Students are encouraged to take online and interactive television (ITV) courses in person at learning centres, with other learners. Streamed and videoconference courses are broadcast live by faculty from Maine's public universities or Community Colleges, and all are eligible for credit.

To take a videconference course a student must be able to travel weekly (at least) to a University of Maine System campus, a University College Centre, University College of Bangor, the Hutchinson Centre in Belfast (Maine) or Lewiston-Auburn College. Faculty also teach on-site at the centers. (See http://www.learn.maine.edu/courses/faq.php for more information.)

The system's distance learning office is in Augusta, Maine, US.
