TAFE open training and education network (OTEN)
As part of TAFE NSW - Western Sydney Institute, the Open Training and Education Network (OTEN) is the largest provider of distance education and flexibly-delivered programs in Australia. OTEN offers world-class distance education services and products to more than 35,000 students in over 250 TAFE NSW courses.
Most courses give graduates nationally recognised qualifications through the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Other specific-purpose courses are recognised by all of TAFE NSW.
OTEN is a national leader in the use of technology to develop and deliver high quality educational and training materials. For external clients we:
customise workplace training for businesses deliver international programs, which currently include partnerships with colleges in China, Malaysia, and Fiji. Deliver TAFE PLUS short courses in a range of industry areas. Our organisation is located in the Sydney suburb of Strathfield, close to the site of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. OTEN is built on the territory of the Wangal clan of the Eora people, the traditional Indigenous owners of this part of Sydney.
