Red Comet
Red Comet is a private "online educational programme that allows students to graduate from high school on time" - it offers supplemental courses to high school students, but does not describe itself as a school. Red Comet was founded in 1999, and is located in the US state of Washington.
Course credits are awarded as "transfer credits" via an accredited public school. Red Comet offers "online testing with results in 24 hours".
Both students and educators are targeted in advertising, to help all improve on-time graduation rates.
Red Comet offers online high school courses in Mathematics, Science, English and Social Studies.
Since 1999, over 6,000 students have used Red Comet in WA State, while close to 4,500 students have used Red Comet outside WA State.
Nearly 200 high schools in Washington state have used Red Comet courses, and over 175 high schools outside of WA State have used them.
