The North Dakota Center for Distance Education (ND CDE) offers online middle school and online high school distance learning classes. It is located in the US state of North Dakota. Supplemental courses are available in both digital and print formats at all levels.

In 2009-10 the programme had 2,350 online course enrollments. 1,650 of those enrollments were out-of-state.

The Center is a partially state-funded (20%), supplemental programme launched in fall 1996 (ND CDE is a reorganisation of the North Dakota Division of Independent Study). It serves middle and high school students with self-paced and scheduled courses. The Center is funded via state appropriation and course fees. Local school districts must approve enrollment of local students and determine who provides the course fee: student or school. Homeschool students must pay tuition to participate in ND CDE courses.

The cost for North Dakota students to enroll in an online or print course is $250, which includes all materials.

The cost for out-of-state students to enroll in an online or print course is $300, which includes all materials
