The Georgia Virtual School (GAVS, GA Virtual School) is the state virtual school of Georgia (US state). It was created by legislation in 2005, and in 2006 the State Board of Education created the rule that governs the school.

GAVS serves as a resource for public, private, and homeschool students in grades 9-12 to take teacher-led, student-focused courses in the US state of Georgia. It is a programme of the Georgia Department of Education's Office of Technology Services, and offers middle-and high-school level courses across the state.

GAVS enrollments in supplemental courses increased by 18% to 12,143 in 2009-10. This included 12,002 enrollments in high school courses and 141 in middle school courses.

Supplemental GAVS courses can be scheduled as a part of a student's regular school day or outside of the school day. Some schools may choose to schedule a course on the student's regular school schedule but then allow that course to be taken on the student's own time outside of the school building.
