CVA-RICESU (Comunidade Virtual de Aprendizagem Rede de Instituições Católicas de Ensino Superior, the Virtual Learning Community of the Catholic Universities Network or the Network of Catholic Institutions of Higher Education) is a consortium of 16 private universities throughout Brazil, achieving synergy through the coordinated offerings of online courses from the participating institutions.

As noted on their web site, CVA-RICESU expects to:
- Create inter-institutional work teams;
- Share infrastructure and services;
- Act as an opinion leader in distance education-related policies;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of educational processes and services offered by the partner institutions;
- Establish shared data repository, such as: science journals, digital libraries, etc;
- Qualify educational processes mediated by information and communication technologies;
- Provide continuing education;
- Develop courses and research
