Summary

(taken from https://www.educacionyfp.gob.es/mc/cidead/el-cidead.html translated automatically into English)

The Center for the Innovation and Development of Distance Education (CIDEAD) provides, through the Integrated Center for Regulated Distance Education, educational attention for the levels of primary, compulsory secondary and adult education, high school and vocational training studies to Spanish citizens abroad and those people who, even residing in national territory, are unable to receive education through the ordinary regime.

In the field of distance language teaching, CIDEAD encourages studies and makes technical proposals necessary for the preparation of academic management measures and the adaptation of curricula that make it possible to teach these teachings in the distance mode. The That's English program, which has been in existence for 20 years, constitutes a benchmark of the distance language teaching model.

CIDEAD undertakes other non-regulated learning initiatives through open training programs through the Internet. Among these initiatives will promote Aula Mentor, a training system for adults of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training that is developed in collaboration with Autonomous Communities and local entities, which is designed to improve the personal and professional capacities of the adult population and in line with their vital expectations.
