Meiji University - OEC
Meiji University was founded in 1881 under the guiding principles of: Rights, Liberty, Independence and Self-government. Since the beginning, Meiji University has been dedicated to fostering talented and balanced students. Meiji University has produced over 480,000 graduates and those students have gone on to make vast contributions to society and to the development of Japanese and Asian society. Meiji University consists of 8 schools, 7 departments, 3 graduate schools and a School of Legal Studies. One new school and 3 new departments will be established in 2008 to further advance the educational system that Meiji has developed to meet the demands of the modern age. Meiji University strives to make dramatic advances in the international community and become Japan's top urban university in the 21st century.
