CETIS is the Centre for Educational Technology Interoperability Standards.

It is a Centre funded by JISC (the Joint Information Systems Committee) in the UK to provide a national research and development service to UK Higher Education and Post-16 Education sectors.

This includes providing strategic advice to JISC, supporting its development programmes, representing it on international standardisation initiatives, and working with the wider educational community to facilitate the use of standards-based eLearning, especially through Special Interest Groups. CETIS also provides direct support for the JISC eLearning Programme, especially the eFramework and Design for Learning strands.

JISC CETIS is a distributed organisation managed by the Institute for Educational Cybernetics at the University of Bolton, and partnered by the University of Strathclyde, Heriot-Watt University and the Centre for Recording Achievement.

Its web site is http://wiki.cetis.ac.uk. It also has a wiki at http://wiki.cetis.ac.uk/CETIS_Wiki which uses the same MediaWiki software that the Re.ViCa wiki does.
