DEASA seeks to rectify inequalities in the immediate region by tacklilng them with e-learning, "to come up with new objectives and solutions fitted to the specific needs of Southern African people. The Distance Education Association of Southern Africa (DEASA) seeks to be a powerhouse in distance and open learning in the region of Southern Africa. Members are from Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique and Swaziland.
