THe Universidad de Playa Ancha it was stablished in 1948 in Chile, they offer 24 bachelor degrees for the 8,000 students. The bachelor programs are related to the fields of Art and culture, social sciences, teaching, technology and health. Is the third largest university in the region.
The university has been studying for nearby 20 years an educational project based in distance learning.From the year 2009 the University is undergoing a shift towards virtual education with completely new distance programs, as well, with strong support for the undergraduate programs in Blended learning so take advantage of the benefits of e-learning and face to face, combined in a format that streamlines the work of both the trainer and the student. They use the platform moodle.
