The mission of the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) is to provide world-class leadership in the innovative use of ICT to support education and research.
JISC funds a national services portfolio (e.g. JANET) and a range of programmes3 (e.g. Cross-institutional use of e-learning to support lifelong learners) and projects4 (e.g. British Cartoon Archive digitisation project).
