Michigan State University (MSU) is a major US public university with global reach. It supports online degree education programs through separate departments and schools, e.g. its School of Criminal Justice. A central online learning unit also provides resources for online course development, management and teaching.

ANGEL learning management system is supported by VUDAT - Virtual University Design and Technology.

A central web site provides information about MSU's version of the open source learning management system LON-CAPA.

There is a designated MSU online and continuing learning web site.

Note also the MSU Global entrepreneurial arm - who as just one university without any US government involvement co-hosted a major conference in China on quality assurance in online learning.
