The KH Kempen University College (KHKempen, KHK) or in Dutch Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen supports e-learning through the LMS Toledo which also incorporates Blackboard and which is being used in the whole K.U.Leuven Association of which this HEI is a member.


This HEI published its Erasmus Policy Statement (ESP) (EN) on its web site. In the framework of the Flemish and European priorities KHK(Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen/Kempen University College) formulated the following vision policy: “KHK stimulates the dynamics of internationalisation. KHK offers students and personnel the opportunity to develop professional competencies enabling an active participation in a multicultural society. KHK has a cosmopolitan orientation and wants to participate in development cooperation.


The institution’s main office is in Geel, Belgium. Other campuses (of the eleven KHKempen departments) are spread over the Kempen (region in the east of Antwerp) in Turnhout, Lier and Vorselaar.


KH Kempen University College is a University College with eleven departments and more than 6,400 students.

Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen is a member of the K.U.Leuven Association, which is also a case study on this wiki.


It also participates in ERASMUS, as well as in Leonardo and Tempus projects involving both student and teacher mobility, pilot projects and curriculum development. There is also an active participation in development projects (via the K.U.Leuven association) and in ERASMUS BELGICA, the exchange programme for the different language communities in Belgium. KHKempen University College co-finances all these projects.
