African Virtual Campus

Based on the model of Avicenna Virtual Campus, this is a regional e-learning initiative created by UNESCO and targeted at 54 African countries. In brief, each country elects one university as the AVC centre. The university then creates online learning material through a collective virtual library. This allows lecturers involved to create, adapt and share teaching modules. [1] [2]
