University of the Arctic

The University of the Arctic (UArctic) consorttium is a cooperative network of universities, colleges, and other institutions in the Circumpolar North. Its overall goal is to create a strong, sustainable circumpolar region by reducing barriers to higher education in the North. UArctic is not a degree-granting institution, but does offer courses to students in the region. Students must typically register at participating universities in order to take classes, either via the web or through face-to-face programmes.
