Virtual Education Wiki:Terms of Service

This wiki is available as follows:
- full public access to any user, whether from an educational organisation, company, or government body - or a private citizen
- edit access is granted under authorisation from the Open Education Wiki Advisory Board to users who are acknowledged as experts in e-learning, in any educational sector - universities, colleges, schools, adult learning, distance learning and informal learning.
- students in subjects related to e-learning are welcome to browse but there is a presumption that students who wish to edit pages are adult (over 18) and at graduate level - it would be an exceptional undergraduate student (perhaps one doing a final year project in an e-learning topic) who would be granted edit access
- the bulk of the wiki is in English and aimed to remain so, but users with skills in other languages in addition are particularly welcome
- the wiki is not a forum for political debate and it maintains no partisan political position on behalf of any particular country or bloc
- however, informed comment on educational and e-learning issues is to be expected.
Editors are expected to conform to the same general principles as contributors to Wikipedia and users of university computing services. In particular, editors should take care to write in scholarly and balanced language, evidence and reference assertions, refrain from defamatory material, and respect copyright (while drawing appropriately on OER material with attribution where possible) - and create material within the guidelines operating on the wiki.
They should also note that all material on this wiki is Creative Commons CC BY 4.0
