The University of Massachusetts Boston is a vibrant community of scholarship and learning dedicated to academic excellence. With five colleges and two graduate schools, UMass Boston offers over 100 undergraduate programs of study and nearly sixty graduate programs, including thirteen at the doctoral level. The nearly 30 research institutes and centers bring faculty and students together from across the University to pursue research, teaching, and service on a broad range of topics that include public policy, gerontology, environmental issues, media and society, labor issues, women's leadership, and issues vital to Asian Americans, African Americans, and Latinos - to name a few.
