Including the College of Oriental Medicine, Semyung University has 8 colleges and 43 departments. It has been recognized as one of the highest-level private universities in the central region of South Korea. Over the green campus of 2.1 million square meters, approximately 8,500 Korean students plus 400 foreign students are working towards their degrees in both undergraduate and graduate programs. In 2010, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology appointed Semyung University as one of the best universities involved in the National Project for Leading Universities having some of the Best Undergraduate Programs available.
