Multimedi a Training Videos
The project builds on an OER resource (www.teachertrainingvideos.com). This site offers OER resources to teachers who want to use technology in their teaching. It has led to increases in numbers applying to courses that the author of the site teaches on. The belief is that good OER content could lead to improved sharing of learning resources amongst academic staff, enhanced marketing opportunities as well as a better educational experience for the students. www.multimediatrainingvideos.com (MMTV) will take a similar approach by offering free learning content to multimedia students. The idea is that by building up an extensive user base, providing good quality and well organised content, the popularity of the site will lead to increases in the number of students applying for multimedia courses at the University, hence producing a model for sustainability.
