I am professor in Corporate Finances and Financial Accounting. I was a member of international project teams and a leader of national grants (more 30). This raison I was placed in a leading position in my country in the area of project developers in Social Sciences and Economics. My interested was mainly oriented to social and economic aspects on Information Society Technologies (IST) and to the study of competitiveness of SMEs in transition economy in Romania and in the global market. As the head of DiSEDD Research Centre, I was the local coordinator in various projects: FP6 “SME’s Virtual Platform on Agro-Food Sector to Access” - SPAS project, FP6 “Co-ordination Actions in Stepping up Economic and Technological Intelligence activities – ETI). From 2007 to present she is the national correspondent for the „Benchmarking eSkills Policies on multi-stakeholder partnership”, for the „Increasing Trust and Confidence of Consumers in the Information Society – e-Trust”, for the „Study on impact of ICT in primary schools”, also an expert & scientific reviewer for projects and articles in economics and Information Society Technologies.

The recognition the contributions in the didactical and research activity materialized in my acceptance as an expert evaluator for the National Council for Scientific Research in Higher Education (NURC), and especially as and evaluator for the program „Platform Program evaluator, laboratories for inter-disciplinary training and research, and in 2007 I had the honor to be announced evaluator for FP7 for „Marie Curie Actions” upon the recommendation of NURC. The international recognition results from my invitations to participate in a series of scientific events of the European Union as the festivity for awarding Descartes prize in 2006. As well I was honored to participate in the common research projects of Madariaga Foundation, chaired by Xavier Solana, in social and economic field.

In 2009, for three years, I was elected, after a successful context, as member of the (national) Council of the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS), comprising 15 leading experts in academic fields in Romania. I must mention ARACIS is member of ENQA and EQAR and it is deeply involved in activities concerning the European strategies of quality assessment in higher education organizations.
