Northeast Yucai Oxford International High School (NYO) is the first American public school of its kind in China.

In April 2011, the Northeast Yucai Education Group, Oxford Community Schools, and Beijing Channel Consulting signed a cooperative agreement demonstrating their commitment to move forward with plans to open a school that provides quality education and educational resources for students in the United States and China. The parties agreed to share methods of managing advanced education, provide outstanding teachers and quality teaching resources, and to promote educational exchanges between the schools.

The new school will start off with 40-45 tuition-paying students in the wing of an existing school, with expectations of growing to 500 students.

This agreement is the firstever between an American public high school and China.

Oxford schools has arguably the largest Mandarin Chinese program in the United States, with 2,000 students immersed in the language with expectations that 3,000 will be involved in three years.
