The Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS, Virtual Learning Academy) is a statewide virtual charter school located in the US state of New Hampshire. Most students are considered to be "high risk".

VLACS offers a full-time option to both in- and out-of-state students; state residents may study part-time (supplemental) or full-time. Approved in May 2007, it serves serving grades 7-12. VLACS is predominantly supplemental, unusual for a virtual charter school.

VLACS had approximately 4,000 part-time students within the nearly 8,000 course enrollments in 2009-10. As of November 2010, there were 5,600 high school students.

More Details

Funding for VLACS comes from the New Hampshire state board, not from local school districts. The Academy receives state-funded tuition through New Hampshire's Education Trust Fund.

The student body is 57% female and 43% male.
