The Kaplan Academy of California (KAC) offers a tuition-free "alternative to traditional high school education", for students in grades 6-12 who are living near certain counties. Founded in 2009, it is a charter school located in the US state of California, in partnership with the private Kaplan Virtual Education. Courses are fully online.
In 2009-2010 there were over 500 students students enrolled across the various KAC sites.
