The Arkansas Virtual High School (AVHS) is a pilot project funded by the Arkansas Department of Education. It is a state virtual school located in the US state of Arkansas. Education targets high-school-aged students.

Founded in 2000, it had approximately 5,000 high school course enrollments in 2009-10.

AVHS is not authorised to grant diplomas, but rather offer supplemental instruction. Each participating school district must enroll its students. Courses are asynchronous.

The purpose of the Arkansas Virtual High School is to provide an online alternative learning environment for the students of Arkansas' public schools who need assistance in completing coursework due to schedule conflicts and other factors that might impede a student's progress through grades 9-12. Courses are available to any private or public school student that is a resident in an affiliated school district, and are available through the Blackboard learning management system.
