Colorado Connections Academy
The Colorado Connections Academy (ColoCA) is partnered with the private Connections Academy to provide a full K-12 curriculum. It is located in the US state of Colorado, and serves residents throughout the state. It is a a tuition-free public online school; students study from home. In 2009 there were 1074 students enrolled, and over 1,000 again in 2010.
Students may participate in field trips and use textbooks, but otherwise study online (asynchronously or synchronously). A learning coach at home guides a student's experience. Course offerings allow for both self-paced and structured learning. Students may take core courses or electives.
Connections Academy provides students a loaned desktop computer and a reimbursement for Internet usage.
