Columbia Virtual Academy
The Columbia Virtual Academy (CVA) is a statewide, free online pubic school located in the US state of Washington. Any student in any Washington state school district may enroll. CVA is tailored to the homeschooling community, and "supports parents as the first and most important educators of their children". The state considers it an "Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) programme". Students may enroll full-time or part-time.
CVA offers purely "virtual" instruction as well as traditional book coursework, as well as supplemental courses for AP students. Founded in 2003, its student population is over 3,200.
