- The Cook County Sheriff’s Department Virtual High School is an Online High School Diploma programme in a US adult jail, launched in 2009
- Since that time the programme has grown to 70
- In June 2010, first graduating class of seven
- Serves 17 to 21 year olds that have not graduated from high school
- Students begin by taking credit-recovery courses before moving on to other graduation requirements
- Private partner: Aventa Learning
