The Baltic Sea Network is a network by higher education institutions, regional development organisations and other organisations in the Baltic Sea area (consisting of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Sweden). There are currently more than 30 partners in the network and the network is expanding all the time. The purpose of the network is to develop the Baltic Sea area in accordance with EU policy.

To keep in touch all the organizations around baltic sea they use Optima system, it is possible to discuss and develop the projects and new ideas in a safe environment. Optima offers a possibility to work on as well as discuss the projects and ideas together, save the results and show them to other members of the network.

Nowadays they are developing several projects such as:

  • Destination Baltic Sea Region.
  • Baltic Sea Open University (BSOU).
  • Good Life for Elderly People.
  • Scenario Workshops for ECR, Centerate, Value Networks, Regional Competence.
