The Gdansk University of Technology (Politechnika Gdanska, PG) supports e-learning by its Moodle CMS.


The institution’s main office is in Gdansk, Poland.

As mentioned in the university's rules (PDF), a full-time student is entitled to study free of charge if he/she succeeds, while part-time students pay the tuition and other fees over the term specified in the plan of studies.

Distance Education Centre

The Distance Education Centre (DECTUG) or Centrum Edukacji Niestacjonarnej at Gdansk University of Technology was considered one of the leading e-learning centers in Poland and was set up in 1996/1997, when it also began e-learning. DECTUG has been founded by the Rector of TUG as an experimental didactic unit for realisation of pilot - national and international - projects connected with utilisation of computer networks and multimedia technologies in distance education (DE). According to Rector Regulation the Distance Education Centre was dissolved on December 31st, 2004.


DECTUG offered a range of alternative methods of access to the course materials:

  1. Distribution of the course modules material via World Wide Web, e-mail, CD-ROMs.
  2. Accessing the course modules material from DECTUG or from co-operating Distance Education Study Centres.
  3. Using printed material on special demand.

The first training that was offered for students from secondary schools.


Autodesk Authorized Training Center

Autodesk Authorized Training Center of Gdansk University of Technology (ACSA PG) was established in 1995 and since April 2005 ACSA operates the Center for Information Services. It offers the following courses: AutoCAD I, AutoCAD II, 3D modelling, 3D Studio and TeleCAD via the university's Moodle platform.
