The Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava (University Stefan cel Mare; Universitatea "Stefan cel Mare"; USV) is a public university in Suceava, Romania, founded in 1990. It is difficult to find information about the university in English.

According to a recent case study, the University Stefan cel Mare is considered to be one of the most important HE institutions in northeast Romania. The university follows the example of modern universities of Europe, but at the same time maintains its own traditions.

The University Stefan cel Mare is a public institution with roughly 12,000 students across nine faculties, with 315 staff, teachers and researchers (2007). The university seeks to educate the skilled local labor force in local industries, namely forestry, food, machinery and equipment; to improve education and continuous education for practitioners and managers, primarily in tourism-related issues and forest investment construction; and to nurture partnerships with diverse institutions and firms.
